THE PERFECT BRUNCH WEDDING

April 7, 2016

One great way to save money on your wedding is to host a morning or early afternoon ceremony and reception, rather than the traditional evening celebration. Not only would a morning or afternoon wedding be more affordable, but it allows brides and grooms to put their unique style into their big day. Who doesn't love breakfast food, right? Think coffee, mimosas, waffles & maple syrup, yogurt bar, donut tower, bacon, biscuits and gravy, and omelet station. And why not get the party started early. Who said you had to wait until sunset? Here are our Top 5 Reasons to have a Springtime Brunch Wedding.

BUDGET-FRIENDLY

Reception venues are typically less expensive to rent during the daytime. A Sunday afternoon ceremony starting at noon with the reception beginning at 1 p.m. could save you significant cash or consider a Saturday morning ceremony. Brunch food is also less expensive than a sit-down dinner or buffet. Getting the party started early also means guests will partake in less alcohol than an evening shindig.

CREATIVE BRUNCH FOOD

Let's be honest, this really is the number one reason we love early wedding receptions. Brides and grooms can get so creative with brunch foods. There are so many creative food bars that are perfect for late morning receptions, such as: coffee bar, omelet station, fresh fruit and yogurt bar, pancake/crepe with various toppings and syrups, and a breakfast sweets table. Chicken and waffles, flavored teas, strawberry lemonade, bacon wrapped anything, chicken salad, quiche, and sparkling wine would be great for an early afternoon party. To make your day even more memorable, opt for a less traditional wedding cake like a donut tower, cheesecake, fresh blueberry or lemon cake, or maybe a tasty cake made of waffles topped with syrup.

FORMAL OR RELAXED

Tea length dresses and khakis or suits and bow-ties. An early wedding provides you the opportunity to have a less formal attire if you that is the vibe you wish to set. This could also be cost-effective for the wedding party by ditching the tuxedos and opting for khakis, suspenders and bow-ties. The ladies could wear floral sundresses - a style that could be worn again.
